How many players are on each Expos team roster?
The goal of the Expos organization is to have 12 young men on each team.
What are the player fees?
Costs for the season are based on the needs of each age division. For the 2025 season, player fees are as follows:
8U - $1,050
9U - $1,150
10U & 11U - $1,250
12U - $1400
13U & 14U - $1,500
Player fees for each team include player uniforms and seasonal fees such as indoor and outdoor facility costs, tournament fees, umpire fees, coach’s stipends, etc.

Additionally, we ask each Expo family to pay a $200 organization fee that goes towards our Expos organization growth fund to assist the organization's aspirations such as an Expos practice field, indoor facility, and other infrastructure.
What kind of training do the coaches have?
Expos coaches have a combined total of more than 100 years of experience as players and coaches. Specific amounts of experience can be in each coaches bio on the coaches tab
How do I know what age division my player is eligible to play?
Typically the age cutoff date for the season is May 1st of each year. This means that a player is eligible to play in the age division that matches their age on April 30th of the playing season. For reference, the USSSA website has a helpful age calculator and the link is provided below.
How many games do we play during the season?
The amount of games played during a season can vary based on weather, unexpected cancellations, etc. Games played also various according to each age division. Based on age division, each season our coaches aim to play:
8U – 20 to 25 games
9U through 11U – 30 to 35 games
12U through 14U – 40 to 45 games
Do you offer reductions for player fees if needed?
As a non–profit organization aiming to make the select baseball experience possible for any young person, we work hard to ensure our fees are as minimal as possible. When do we have tryouts and how do we advertise?
The Lincoln Expos aim to hold tryouts for the next season in June or July of each current season . Tryouts are advertised on our website, Facebook page and Instagram page. We encourage all to attend one of the group tryouts; however we can make individual tryout arrangements for those unable to attend.
What level do your teams play?
Team level is determined each season by the coaching staff in conjunction with the Nebraska USSSA state director dependent on team rosters. As an organizational approach, it is important to us that we set each team up for success based on the skill level of the players and the team as a whole.
What does your season look like?
The indoor practice season runs from January through the end of March with teams moving outside as weather permits. Generally, the season begins in late-March or early April and ends after the state tournament which is normally held the first week of July. We also encourage teams to play together in the Fall, but understand and support players participating in other sports. Fall baseball is a great time for players to continue skill development and work together as a team.

Does my player need to tryout each season?
In line with many aspects of the Expos mission, we do not make players tryout each season.
What is included in the player uniform?
Uniforms include: two pair of pants, two jerseys and an Expos ball cap.
How many tournaments do you play each season and how far do you travel?
On average, tournament break down by age is:
8U – 3 in state/local commute (3 total)
9U – 4 in state/local commute (4 total)
10U through 12U – 4 in state/local commute and 1 out of state (5 total)
13U through 14U – 4 in state/local commute and 2 out of state (6 total)
